“Non-Invasive Treatment of Uterine Fibroids” is studying the impact of a dietary supplement (containing elements from green tea, vitamin B6, and vitamin D) on symptomatic uterine fibroids. This clinical trial is designed to support holistic treatment of uterine fibroids as an alternative for surgical or operative measures that are risky and cause pain and suffering to patients.
This pilot project, led by Pennington Biomedical Research Center and in partnership with Woman’s Hospital, Louisiana State University, and University of Louisiana Lafayette, tests the effectiveness of a dietary supplement in shrinking symptomatic uterine fibroids. If symptomatic uterine fibroids are successfully treated with a dietary supplement this could reduce the need for hysterectomy or other invasive treatment procedures.
