BATON ROUGE, La. – Today, the Baton Rouge Health District announces a new addition to the team. Katie Pritchett will be joining as the new Operations Director.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the Baton Rouge Health District.” Said Katie Pritchett. “My entire career has been dedicated to improving the community, and I look forward to continuing that practice through the Health District with our collaborative partners and innovative projects.”
In her new role, Katie will manage the Health District’s organizational operations with a focus on staff and project management. She will also be involved in strategic projects, especially those involving external partners and funding sources.
"Katie is a great addition to our team” said Steven Ceulemans, Executive Director of the Health District. “Her experience in organizational management and as a trusted community leader with a strong collaborative track record will be invaluable to the Health District.”
About Katie Pritchett
In her previous role, Katie served as the Senior Vice President for the Impact and Operations for Capital Area United Way. She was responsible for the development, execution and implementation of organizational strategies focused on community impact, community investments, partnerships and collaborations. She was also instrumental in the revamping of the organization’s grant and funding model resulting in competitive funding processes aligned to the needs of the communities. Katie has experience in management, program design, grant administration and facilitation and she recently received her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification through Baton Rouge General.
Katie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Master of Social Work degree from University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Work where she concentrated on Leadership, Administration and Advocacy.

Recognizing the significant impact health issues have on the Baton Rouge community, the Health District collaborates with hospital administrators, government agencies, community leaders and medical staff on various projects, from establishing the Baton Rouge Health-Tech Catalyst as the first federally recognized and funded innovation hub of its kind in Baton Rouge, to coordinating vital healthcare recovery initiatives in response to the COVID pandemic and recent hurricanes.
